SPire Healthcare – LITTLE ASTON HOSPITAL

We were chosen to replace the existing carpet flooring in all ground-floor, clinical areas for Spire Healthcare at Little Aston Hospital over the course of six months. We were also tasked with upgrading the various reception counters across the ground floor of the building.

To begin with, we stripped and cleared the previous carpeted flooring and applied a latex levelling compound to prepare for the laying of a new floor layer. We opted to use a sheet vinyl flooring with a plastic, sit-on skirting board.

Next, the existing timber reception desks were upgraded to provide a more clinical and clean appearance to the hospital’s ground floor. Corian worktops were installed and Altro wall cladding was applied to the faces of the desks for a smoother, sleeker aesthetic.

Due to the hospital’s live environment, it was crucial that our work did not interfere with the day-to-day operations to staff across various departments and hospital visitors and patients. As such, we elected to complete the work in stages overnight, so all works needed to be programmed and completed with absolute precision.

Due to programme requirements, the contract ran for the full six months and was worth £75,000.
