Warehouse Fit Out
One of the most important aspects of our work as one of the leading shopfitters in Birmingham is warehouse fit outs. Often used as a central hub for storage, stocking, and distribution, it is essential for certain businesses that their warehouses are laid out efficiently, safely, and effectively.
What are warehouse fit outs?
Warehouse shopfitting is a complex, heavy-duty process of ensuring your warehouses are fit for purpose, laid out logically, and perfect to suit your business needs.
Often involving the installation and organisation of heavy-duty racks and equipment, shopfitting a warehouse is no easy task, but our experts are trained to do it without any issues. We also perform dilapidation work to help get an old, disused storage building back up to scratch in no time.
They need to be done perfectly, as any cut corners when it comes to warehouse interior storage or layouts can have devastating consequences, especially when the supply chain is involved. Damaged or lost stock and inefficient layouts could result in significant costs to your business.
Any warehouse fit outs we handle will be conducted at a time that will result in the least amount of disruption to your business operations as possible. In many cases, we are able to conduct such work with no impact at all!
What is the warehouse shop fit process?
As with any large-scale projects, we have a rigorous structure to how we do things, ensuring that all bases are covered before we even pick up our tools.
Our fist step will be to work closely with you to understand your business needs and vision. That way, we can draw up plans and concepts for the final project that match your desires without wasting any time starting a project, only for it to change afterwards.
Next, our expert warehouse shop fit design team will identify and source all the necessary fixtures and fittings that we will erect in your warehouse, from metal, stackable racking to storage solutions.
After obtaining everything we need, we will get started on our remit. No matter what it is you need us to do, we will have your warehouse ready and fully operational in no time, with minimum disruption to your business and within agreed upon timeframes.
Once finished, we will remove any waste and fully tidy your warehouse, ensuring that it is ready to go the second we leave the premises, where we will show you around your new warehouse and confirm that you are fully happy with it!
How do we approach warehouse fit outs?
Shopfitting a warehouse is no easy task, but our specialist team are highly trained and ready to transform your ideas into reality. Every warehouse shop fit is different, and every job we carry out is unique to our client, so we ensure that all our staff are trained to the highest standard, so no job is ever too much.
We are experienced in the transportation, construction, and installation of the heavy-duty, stackable storage racks you find in warehouses across the UK. We also have extensive knowledge of the suppliers and brands that provide their products for warehouse use, identifying and sourcing the correct items for you early in the process.
Additionally, warehouses can often be left abandoned when a business goes under or moves on, and it can be difficult to find another tenant swiftly. Luckily, we are known for our ability to repair and restore dilapidated storage buildings and get them up to scratch for a new client in no time.
We are the experts when it comes to maximising available space and will ensure that our layout is logical and efficient for your team. Plus, if your warehouse comes with an office space, we can even fit that out for you too!

How can you prepare for a warehouse fit out?
There are plenty of steps you can take to prepare for the project ahead of time, especially if you are simply upgrading an existing warehouse.
Firstly, ensure that any leftover stock has been removed ahead of time, leaving just the fittings that you would like to be replaced or removed. If there are any items that you have been unable to move, but would like to keep, please inform us clearly and ahead of time and we will safekeep these items during your warehouse shop fit.
Plus, you will want to let us know when your busiest working hours are and if you will still need access to any of the warehouse while we are carrying out the work. That way, we can organise an optimal schedule that reduces the impact to your business and allows us to provide a more accurate timescale.
Don’t worry – we will contact you ahead of time to discuss the things you may need to consider before kickstarting the project, and will work with you to ensure all bases are covered.
